Rad na food 529/23/2023 ![]() 18 Best Romantic Restaurants in Phuket ❤️.You taste so much better but in this Los Angeles heat, it's hard to entertain the idea of eating there. Please get A/C because that is the only reason we didn't end up there. On a side note, for the slim chance you may be reading this. Our inside joke is that the next time around - we are going to bring our own rice and see if they say anything to us. Did they really expect us to eat curry or catfish without rice? Seriously? Who charges $1 for a cup of rice when you order a handful of dishes. 'How many rice you want? 4 cups, 4 dollars'. And to add insult to the injury - the waitress says to us: None of the above was impressive, sadly enough. We settle on Renu Nakorn and order the following: It was already 5pm and sadly, we haven't eaten yet. We need this bill to be adjusted to the original prices 'cuz that's what we thought we were paying." She tried to argue that it was only around 50 cents here and there, but that's b.s.Īnyways, she adjusted it.but that just left a bad taste in my mouth.Įh, I used to like Renu Nakorn but now I all I can say is that it's my desperate for Thai food and too lazy to drive place. Then she pointed to the bottom of the menu, where, "prices are subject to change without notice" was written in small print. So, I brought it up to the counter and the lady (who I think is the owner) said that they're in the process of updating their menu, so those are the new prices. For example, my dish was 6.95, but on the bill, it was listed as $7.50, or something like that. We looked at our bill and some of the prices seemed a little high. So, the price you see on the menu will not be the price you pay. But, the flavor was a bit lacking.ĬAUTION: Check your bill! Apparently, they're in the process of updating their prices on their menu, but they're still using the old menu. However, the thing I do remember from it was that things did taste fresh.so that was good. We finished everything, but I wouldn't say it was memorable. Then we ordered the garlic trout, rad na noodles with shrimp, and red curry with beef. We had the fried garlic wings as an appetizer. Narai Thai in Downey or even Bird's Nest a few miles away is better. Prices not bad but doesn't reflect what you get. I just couldn't reward that type of service, it was bad. This was one of the very few times in my life (i can count on one hand and have fingers left over!) that I've only tipped 10%, and it made me very sad to do so. I get that they work hard and don't get paid nearly enough so my usual is to tip well, normally I tip around 20%, more if it's exceptional. I'm a firm supporter of wait staff everywhere even though I've never been one. Based on tonight's dinner experience I would not go back and I would not recommend it to anyone else either. Just not the nicest experience which is why I sincerely hope they were going through some changes and not that it's going to stay that way. ![]() They basically kept saying stuff was coming, or they were sorry they forgot the coke (and still never brought it till it was specifically asked for AGAIN), etc. The restaurant was not even half full, I counted about 7 tables with customers as we got there, no one new came in and the 3 wait staff acted like it was crazy city. Previously we've had a delicious duck soup with great noodle dish here.we were all wondering out loud whether that dish has also changed. This coming from a family that routinely brings home TONS of leftovers nearly everywhere we go. My son ordered the Rad- Na which is a beef dish with some kind of sauteed broccoli and flat rice noodles. Here, it was an extra buck AND the curry portion was small as heck. That's just weird, most Thai places know you don't eat curry alone and give you a side of ride. ![]() AND the rice was not included as another yelper mentioned. But I was surprised that their portions seemed to have shrunk a LOT. As for my dish (the yellow curry) it's hard to mess that up. When it finally did, he was disappointed saying the chicken was full of gristle and fat. My hubby ordered the most quickly cooked item on the menu (chicken teri) and he had to wait a LONG time for it to come out. ![]() But he kept forgetting drink orders, apps, just about everything. Whether our waiter was new or just a family friend helping out, we'll never know. The wait staff WAS fast, friendly, and remembered your order. To start with, this place has been a long standing favorite of mine and my families and has always been super friendly and accommodating to people with kids. ![]() Maybe it was an off night, maybe they recently changed ownership or re-sized their entrees, whatever it is, it sort of stinks. After you do that you'll see why I was so sad to give this previously excellent place only 2 stars. Go ahead.read my previous reviews of this place. ![]()
