Job simulator trailer9/24/2023 ![]() ![]() Though some freight tou may choose to haul to get a load on pays less, freight that needs more specialized combinations like extendable trailers, extra axles, stuff that's way over-dimensional, stuff that goes to or departs from difficult locations and so on. Having lowboys at the top is mostly right. ![]() Limited pool of drivers and O/Os, higher expectations, greater insurance burdens, higher compliance scrutiny, etc. Based on the equipment involved I'd say it pays well. I have nearly no knowledge on liquid bulk transport or gaseous cargoes. In part due to the work expected of drivers (though ELDs have cut into that labor model) and the specialized trailers as well as due to the fairly common deadhead mileage often involved. No idea on pneumatic bulk trailer rates but probably on the upper end of bulk trailers in general. In general I would expect the general "rule" of more specialized equipment paying better would make stuff like a hopper bottom or end dump pay closer to vans or flats while life floor trailers or more specialized dump trailers paid better. I'm not up on dry bulk trailers in general but they often pay ton/mile so the type of cargo and volume and weight capacity of the consist will alter that. Stuff like step decks pay a little better than refers. The lower end of open trailers (flatbeds) are pretty close to refrigerated trailers, but often a little lower. They might as well just all pay the same since that would just as (completely not) realistic as the current rates.īasic open trailers, on average, pay more than vans. While the actual PPM is obviously skewed to make the game easier, the relative PPM differences from trailer to trailer is pants-on-head stupid. Not a huge deal to me, I'm sure there is mod that does that or maybe I'll make one.ĮDIT: I put together a more comprehensive list to include a breakdown by mileage category (based off of Skill values) along with Freight Job & Quick Job for comparison. Personal Comment: While I understand it is not exactly realistic, I hope SCS balances these prices to all be similar that way individuals can drive with their preferred trailer type and still profit equally. \* Sliding Tarp Note: Despite being part of the Flatbed trailer type, the jobs available were significantly lower, hence why I separated it. ![]() No jobs were found to be over 2,500 miles. Also included Freight Market* and Quick Jobs** for comparison. Highest paying ($ per Mile) job broken down by mileage category, plus an average across all jobs. I plan on updating this list as I purchase more DLC. This was base game as of Version 1.43.2.17s.ĭLC: I have Washington, Oregon & New Mexico. Mods & Version: I have no mods installed that effect economy. Profile Skills: My profile was level 30+ with everything maxed (except fuel efficiency). Trailer Build: Each trailer build was kept to a single "container" (chain type) with no more than 3 axels to maximize map location availability. EDIT: Now includes breakdown by mileage range/category.Ĭargo vs Freight Jobs: At the time of documenting this, my Freight jobs were offering up to $97 / Mile. This was a quick and dirty list, I plan on documenting more as I play to fine tune the numbers. Oh and i did this with the largest size Trailer that you can get at the unlock of the Trailer this is my first Guide.Summary: I'm somewhat new to ATS and since I found this question commonly asked, but not clearly answered, I bought each trailer type to evaluate which one offers the most lucrative jobs. fragile cargo and just in time delivery $53.96 / mi Potassium job is the best i could find and they can put TVs on it you need Just the Fragile Cargo skill. The Container Carrier with the i think it is the flammable liquid's Skill. The Dry Trailer with explosives skill unlocked you can get $51.54 / mi Dynamlite job or TVs $42.11 / mi TVs Just need the Fragile Cargoįor TVs.so you know $51.54 / mi means $51.54 per mi and that is good. To use your trailer you need to go to the garage that you put it in and go to the Trailer manager in the esc menu but to unlock Trailers you need to be Level 7. There is i think 15 Trailers at the time of making this this is a work in progress and i did not do a per mi test on all of the Trailers it may comeĪt level 7 you get the dry Trailer i will get info on what level you get each Trailer for now i don't now what level you get each Trailer.
